The diggers have arrived—and Clonskeagh’s newest housing development is now underway. Here’s what’s happening and what it means for your neighbourhood.
Three months ago, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and Winterbrook Limited signed contracts to build the new Emmet Gardens development.
This week, Winterbrook Limited started work on the site. Part of the boundary wall along Dundrum Road has been removed to allow construction vehicles to enter.
People using Dundrum Road should expect some traffic delays while the work is underway. The nearby Dún Brí development (formerly Dundrum Central) has already caused traffic disruption on the road, and similar delays are likely during the Emmet Gardens project.
The first phase of the development will provide 129 new social and affordable homes. Construction is expected to finish in late 2028.
