
Over seventy residents showed up—are you missing decisions shaping your neighbourhood? Here’s what was discussed, what’s changing, and why staying informed now matters for you.
The Association held its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 17 November 2025.
The meeting took place in the Cedar/Cypress Suite at the University Club on the nearby UCD Campus.
Around 70 residents attended. This showed strong interest in local community issues.
Chairman’s Report
The Chair, Philip Tierney, spoke about the work done by the Committee during 2025.
The Committee only had five members since the 2024 AGM. They worked on several key activities, including:
- Meeting with outgoing Committee members to:
- take over running the Association and
- learn from their experience.
- Organising the Christmas Lights 2024 switch-on and
- Running the Community Clean-up in June 2025.
Issues raised by residents
Residents spoke about their concerns for the area.
The main issues mentioned were:
- Traffic flow through the neighbourhood generally
- Overflow parking from UCD and
- Parking problems on Leinster Lawn and Nutgrove Park.
The Committee agreed to treat the traffic and parking problems as a priority.
NEW COMMITTEE
To keep continuity, the existing five Committee members stayed on.
They are joined by five new members.
The Committee for 2025–2026 is:

- Euan Casey, Nutgrove Park

- Pauleen Swift, Beechmount Drive
Plans for the year ahead
The new Committee has started planning for 2026.
Key plans include:
- Focusing on traffic and parking problems
- Engaging with local councillors and Council officials about local issues
- Improving communication with residents and
- Relaunching the Association’s website.
