Four tower cranes are about to appear on Dundrum Road. See what’s already completed at Dún Brí, and what’s coming next for the site.
Preparatory works continue at the Dún Brí development (the former Central Mental Hospital site) on the Dundrum Road.
The main contractor, John Paul Construction, has issued their August monthly update.
The man works completed to date include:
- Reduced height of the Dundrum Road boundary wall
- Enabling works including site preparation and clearance, utility modifications and building demolition
- Erection of 2 tower cranes
- Piling works completed
The works planned for September and October 2026 are:
- Erection of 4 more tower cranes
- Foundation works for the initial 3 blocks
- Kerbing and roadways
- Drainage works
