Changes are planned for a nearby road—but if you don’t speak up now, you’ll live with the outcome. Here’s what’s proposed and how it could affect your daily life.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is planning changes to a nearby road, St Columbanus Road, that you may use.
The goal is to make the road safer, look better, and improve how parking works.
The plan covers the junction of St. Columbanus Road and Dundrum Road, and about the first 120 metres of St. Columbanus Road.
The work will include:
- A new planted green area
- New trees
- Bollards to stop unsafe and illegal parking
- Clearly marked parking spaces
- A raised area at the junction to help people cross more easily
When finished, the road will be safer, greener, and easier to use for everyone in the community.
NOTE: This upgrade will connect with an improved route through Mulvey Park, Beechmount Drive andGledswood Park. The route will connect with the Roebuck Road Cycle Scheme. That Scheme delivered an improved road and cycleway from Leinster Lawn to the Roebuck Road-Goatstown Road junction in 2023.
This public consultation closes at 4:00 p.m. on 5 May.
